About Connie Hsu, MA, AMFT #96447

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Growing up as a second generation Chinese-American, I recognize the seemingly unbending pressures from family and culture (society), and the struggles of finding personal authenticity and acceptance.  I know how difficult it is to quiet the constant "critical" voice in your head, and the waves of anxiety and low self-confidence that often accompany it. You feel like you’ve fallen so many times, that you’ve lost sight of where you are going. But I've also experienced healing and transformation, where the past no longer holds you captive to your future. You can improve your relationships and regain your confidence in yourself, and I am here to show you how.

As your therapist, I will meet you where you are. I’m here to offer you a safe place to go to when you feel stuck in your life, and I provide encouragement and sensitive guidance and break free from painful patterns, so that you can have a more enjoyable and satisfying life.

I am a Registered Marriage and Family Therapy Associate (#96447). I received my bachelor of arts at New York University and my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant University. I am trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapy, an extensively researched and proven effective approach for the treatment of trauma. I have over 8 years of experience helping individuals, couples and families grapple with an array of hardships and rediscover harmony and balance in their lives. I work under the supervision of Dr. Helene Mickey Wilson, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (CA BBS License #49203), through the Trilogy branch office of IAS.

If feeling overwhelmed and hopeless is affecting your ability to live your life, then it may be time to get therapy.
